Must admit I had the same reaction.
Although at 'slow speed resolution' some of it did look like effective super8. Perhaps it is?

Im sure its my loss.

yep, it's got the whole snuff film look pretty much. there's two girls that you see onscreen, one is the main dark haired girl who's scenes are very distorted and the other, the blonde girl you may have seen a glimpse of in the preview, is presented in a glowing color soft focus effect that's easier on the eyes but presented in fades and in the smaller corner of the screen.

the music isn't like that during the whole movie.

it's definitaley a love or hate it movie I think. some people have really hated the idea and film and some have loved it but nobody's really been in between. so perhaps it's not your type if that 8mm look bugged you, I know it can give people headache's if it tweaks with their eyes too much.

Just checked out your trailer, the movie looks really good. I can understand what the others were saying about the 'grubby' look to it, but I kinda like that, it has a certain appeal. Had a look at some of the other movies on your site too-they look great. If only my internet connection was faster I would be able to watch them! lol.

BTW, I know it wasnt one of yours, but the 'Bagman' film looked like a blast.

I think you should get Shane to use his music video skills to re-cut the trailer. They're supposed to be fast and snappy, show off the movie. This one moves along like a tomb, it doesn't show the footage in a good light and gives no idea about any possible narrative.

Lee - yeah, Bagman was a great short flick! Shane met the filmmakers at Troma I guess and loved the film and since they didn't have a site we wanted to help promote it. A lot of people have found our site through that film so hopefully it's helping. I need to do a google search and see if they have their own site yet, but I got to see the dvd it was lots of fun, for sure.

as far as the trailer, Shane lots of times normally cuts stuff fast, but that's not the kind of movie "Porn Star Killer" is and he didn't want people to think it was some action slasher flick. we might cut a new one just for the sake of everybody suggesting it, but Shane wants to make sure people know it's a very calm film that deals with a very intense subject, which I think is an interesting approach, unfortunetly most aren't seeing it that way, but you win a few, you loose a few.
